two points I need to make:
1. Sorachi is a fan of Lone Wolf Club, which is an influential manga chronicling the journey of a man set on revenge. Daigoro in the LWC is the son of the main character and has been adapted into TV series, movies, ect. Now Daigoro is a cameo in Gintama, who woulda thought? Just goes to show you that Sorachi reads a lot and is a fan of the samurai as a whole.
2. Daigoro is one of my favorite Gintama kids (the other obnoxious fat kid is my 2nd favorite). He’s also one of the few who recognize that Hasegawa deep down, is a diamond in the rough. If you haven’t seen episode 188… do it.
